Riding with us at Burrows Lane Equestrian Centre is a great way to:

Riding Lessons

All instructors at BLF are British Horse Society qualified and work hard to ensure their lessons are fun, varied and educational.

 

We teach all riders to respect their mount and aim to get the most out of every lesson for both horse and rider.

 

We teach all levels of riders from beginner to advanced and have an excellent selection of horses and ponies to suit each individual rider and their lesson goals.

We offer:

  • Group, Private and Semi-private lessons.

  • Stable management Practical and Theory lectures.

  • BHS training - Stage Exams and Horse Owner Certificates.

  • Pony Club achievement badges and Efficency tests.

  • Own a Pony Days.

  • Schooling/ Buying/ Selling/ Horse Holidays.

We are open 6 Days a week for lessons: (closed Bank Holidays)

Mon-Fri: 9-12pm - 3-8pm            Sat-Sun: 9-5pm

Tots Trots

Beginner Horse riding lessons.

Parent or Guardian required to lead pony.

Tots Trots Includes:

  • Fun filled group riding lesson on horseback                    (30 minute lesson)

  • £24 - £26 per person.

  • £1.50 hat hire available

Calling all Leisurely ladies! Come and Join Us for fun filled, weekly riding session followed by tea, coffee and biscuits and a good chat!

Young Equestrian Club

We  will now be running Young Equestrians Club. This is a new social and training programme for young people.

 

This is a new social and training programme for young people recently launched through the Pony Club.

 

Young Equestrian Club Involves:

  • Provides 13-18+ year olds with the opportunity to connect and re-engage with the equestrian sport through a fun and informal hub.

  • Participants will have more choice and freedom in how they take part in equestrianism.

  • Relaxed hourly riding lessons as well as being able to take part in Pony Club skill development offerings.

  • Set your own syllabus and cover whatever topics you want even if they are not equine related such as equine fashion design, make up classes, raising money to fund a trip out etc.

  • Practical session will be young equestrian lead, ideas and discussions for future sessions.

6-8 pm every month. £32.50 for a 2 hour lesson with practical if you are still attending your weekly lesson or £28 if you are just doing young equestrian.

Pony Club

The Pony Club is an international Youth Organisation for those interested in Ponies and Riding.

 

Pony Club Centre Membership is open to anyone aged 5-21.

 

You DON'T have to own a Horse to Join!

The objectives of Pony Club are:

  • To  Encourage Young People to Ride and Learn to enjoy all kinds of sport, connected with horses and riding.

  • To give Instruction in Riding and Horse mastership, and to educate members to look after and take proper care of their animals.

  • To promote the highest levels of sportmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline.

Here at BLF we have three Pony Club Rally groups that are split according to age and ability. Each rally group meets once a month on either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5-7pm, at £32.50 for a 2 hour lesson, with practical if you are still attending your weekly lesson, or £28.50 if you are just attending Pony Club.

Adult Horse Club

Adult horse club is a fun filled, informative and freindly adult only riding group. which includes a group riding lesson and group stable management Practical/ Theory Lectures.

 

Suitable for all levels of rider with option to take BHS Horse Owners certificate, or just come along and learn with no pressure.

 

Ride one of our well schooled horses or bring your own along.

Are you an Adult wanting to:

  • Learn more about horses?

  • Improve your Riding and Stable Management skills?

  • Socialise with and meet like minded people?

  • Have fun and keep active?

  • Achieve your BHS Horse Owners Certificate

Then Adult Horse Club could be just what you are looking for!

We meet once a month from

6-8 pm for £32.50.

Own A Pony Days

Looking for something fun and interesting for the kids to do over the holidays?

 

Then why not book onto one of our Own a Pony Days.

 

Look after the ponies; experience mucking out grooming, cleaning tack and riding with a group.

Pony Parties

Looking for a fun, different and exciting way to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion?

 

Then why not have a Pony Party here at Burrows Lane Farm!

 

Suitable for all levels of rider, from Complete Beginner to Advanced. We can tailor the party to suit your needs

A Pony Party includes:

  • Fun filled group riding lesson with games on horseback (approx 40 mins)

  • Interactive hands on practical stable management session (approx 40 mins)

  • Option to use on site facilities for consumption of own food and drink (T&C's apply)

  • Rosettes abnd certificate for each attendee and extra special rosette for birthday boy/girl

Educational Clinics

Every school holidays we hold several different fun and educational clinics.

 

There will be a clinic to suit everyone!

All clinics include an 30 minute to 1 hours ride, practical and theory session.

  • Nervous Rider Clinic
