Congratulations on taking the first step to booking a horse riding lesson with us at

Burrows Lane Farm Equestrian Centre!

Whatever your ability and reason for wanting to take up horse riding, we are confident it wont be long before you are hooked.

Theres no better feeling than being out in the fresh air on a horse and working as a partnership to achieve your aims no matter how big or small.

Horse-riding is also an excellent way to keep fit, stay active and blow any cobwebs away!

Your first ride will be half hour private assessment lesson (£33.50) so that we can help you choose the most suitable lesson to participate in going forwards.

Lessons we offer are either ½ hr private, ½ hr semi-private or 1 hr groups.

All lessons can be bought as gift vouchers for present.

Riding lessons at Burrows Lane Farm Equestrian Centre must be booked in advance, this can be done by getting in touch using the contact details at the bottom of the page (please note if there is no anwser when telephoning please leave a message and a member of staff will call you back).

All lessons require 24 hours notice when cancelling otherwise full lesson cost is still payable.

Prior to your first lesson you will need to complete a Rider Registration and Rider Code of Conduct Form.

You can either download the forms from our website to complete at home and bring with you, OR you can get one from the office when you arrive at the yard.

Riders will need to wear full ankle boots (jodpher boots) with a small heel or wellington boots (NOT trainers), long trousers and ensure clothing is not too loose fitting.

Riders with long hair should ensure it is tied back and jewellery is removed for their lesson.

Please note our riding arenas are outdoors and we only cancel lessons in extreme weather conditions.

When lessons have to be cancelled due to bad weather practical sessions will always be offered.

Riding hats can be hired at a cost of £1 per lesson, riding hats are kept in the green room by the vending facilities.

For your first lesson its a good idea to arrive a little earlier for your lesson, for hat fittings and to fill in any necessary forms.

If you are late we cannot run over your allocated time slot as there is always other lessons following straight on afterwards.

There is a customer car park at the top of the lane, from there you walk onto the yard the office is sign posted in the wooden building on the left hand side.
